How the document itself frames the archive: few written records and preservation through elder interviews.

The document explicitly states that tracing and writing about the ethnography of the Khongso community is not easy because there are very few written documents and records. It also states that what is written is the outcome of interviews with elders who are still alive and who know the historical background of the Khongso tribe and their activities before and after the coming of Christianity.

This means the archive should be read as a combination of oral history, memory preservation, and community-based ethnographic documentation.
