Purpose
This archive is intended to make Khongso history and identity easier to preserve, access, share, and transmit across generations. It is both a public-facing educational resource and a long-term cultural memory system.
Source Integrity Statement
The archive is based on a primary Khongso source document that explicitly notes the difficulty of tracing Khongso ethnography because of limited written records. The document also states that its contents rely in part on interviews with elders who preserved historical memory.
For that reason, this archive presents the material as a preservation effort rooted in recorded text, oral history, and community memory rather than as a claim of exhaustive finality.
Stewardship
This archive is maintained as a cultural preservation effort. It is meant to serve Khongso people, descendants, researchers, and respectful readers seeking to understand the community more accurately.
Cultural Sensitivity
Descriptions of pre-Christian religious beliefs, sacrifice, spirits, forgiveness, and social customs are presented respectfully as part of the historical record. They are included for preservation, understanding, and continuity.
